Great Hiking Pant

"Great Hiking Pant" so why only 3 stars? Price mostly. First the good, as hiking pants these are great. The fit is snug which is great for long hours on the trail. The numerous pockets are well thought out and the double knees and seat are great for breaks or scrambling over rocks and such. I like the adjustable cuffs for keeping out bugs and keeping in heat in cold weather. Wax them up and they are almost too warm for all but the coldest weather, at least for me. The bad, at least for me. I bought them as an all around pant with canoe camping in mind and find them too snug for all the different stuff you do around camp as well as for canoeing. Also, the waist is a little low, not like a low rise waist or anything just a little low. In addition I haven't found them exceptionally durable either, several burn holes as well as a hole from a tent peg in my pocket, stuff that wouldn't bother me in an $80 pair of pants but does in a $160 pair. If you are more of a hiker, backpacker or just like a snugger fit these might be right for you if you don't mind the price.
