Strip it down for play boating with the ability to conceal most of the webbing and adjustments for a clean, streamlined vest. Or, gear it up with the quick-release belt, tow line, river knife, strobe and hydration pack, to make it a great choice for guiding or long river trips.

The Best of Both Worlds

I've been wearing a generic PFD for years but as your goals change, so do the requirements of your gear. I had purchased another PFD that meet "most" of the requirements however, I was just not satisfied. I investigated the Salus Proto and found it appeared to meet the bill so I made the purchase. Canadian made, a cross jacket from whitewater, guide mode to a comfortable paddling jacket so my mind was made.
Since making the purchase I am so satisfied with the fit and the features, plus with it being Canadian made, I am totally satisfied.
The company itself is topnotch and their contact staff is exemplary as far as knowledge and assistance goes.
A solid 5 as an overall rating.
